Partner Swapping at Knavecon

Fancy trying something different at the next Knavecon ?  It’s been a trend for a lot of seasoned games to come to Knave and join in with their regular gaming group.  Nothing wrong with that.  It’s a bit like going searching out a Tesco or Irish Pub when on holidays. Personally I think you can have a lot of fun if you join in with other groups at least for one game.  So here’s an idea.  Why not play ONE game at Knavecon 13 with a different group of gamers.  Maybe a random one.  We’re going to facility this by facilitating a “speed dating” function where we draw a group of gamers out of a hat and have them play together.  NOW it’s optional.  Like everything at Knave and like everything new that comes to Knavecon it might work it might not so let’s see how it goes.

I’d appreciate your feedback on the idea before I go to the trouble of getting a hat

Altar of the Innocent

Image result for level 1 gamer

Knavecon 13 is fast approaching.  Following up on our recent podcast about bringing new players into the fold,  we’ve decided to setup a table for new gamers to try out gaming possibly for the first time.  A rotating group of experienced Knaves will take new gamers through a number of gateway games (all pretty short) and get them up to speed on the hobby.  So if you’re new to gaming, if you have friends coming with you, send to the Altar of Innocence and we’ll sort them out.   good and proper

IT’s ON! very like Donkey Kong

The really, really nasty Knavecon Bloodbowl Winter League is back and it’s kicking off today with 10 teams, ten foolish, foolish, teams.  Played out via Bloodbowl 2 on the PC.  We have some noobs, some sharks and some confused players all ready to throw down and score some touchdowns or failing that hammer seven shades out of their opponents, or a bit of both.   I personally will be managing the Dark Elf Team Backstabbers of Knave and fully expect to lose and eye

War is Over

over

After several months of play, the fourth Knavecon Diplomacy game finishes, with Austria the victor.  Austria had gotten to a position where it was impossible to lose in the last turn.  Yes Austria, the one that never wins, supported by Italy, YES Italy the one that never never wins in the 19th year. YES NINETEEN

This game went ON and ON and ON so respect to the players who stuck it out, it was a long haul.  I recommend viewing the moves in the game
